Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, February 22nd and Sunday, February 24th.

On Friday, February 22nd at 10 a.m., police issued a summons to a 48 year old Stoneham woman for violating a 209A abuse prevention order.
At 10:31 a.m. a Broadway resident reported money missing from his apartment.
At 11:35 a.m. a hit and run accident was reported on Main Street. The other vehicle was located in Stoneham and the operators were to exchange their info.
At 11:38 a.m. a driver reported a car passed him and then slammed on the brakes near Montrose Ave before turning into the Irving lot. The car was not spotted.
At 1:53 p.m. a group was reportedly blocking the sidewalk on Main Street. An officer moved them along.
At 2:43 p.m. a caller reported that somebody in a car picked up his Chihuahua, which had gotten out of the house. Police provided the owner with the other car’s phone number.
At 5:35 p.m. the fire department responded to a report of a brush fire near Old Nahant Road.
At 10:42 p.m. a Preston Street resident said minors were drinking in the street and causing a disturbance. An officer spoke with a parent on the scene and found no disturbance.
At 11:18 p.m. a caller reported some youths hanging around in a parking area on Water Street. None were spotted.

On Saturday, February 23rd at 12:08 a.m. an officer spoke with a man on Salem Street who had been reported as possibly intoxicated.
At 12:36 a.m. a caller reported spotting two males entering a vacant home on Turnbull Ave. that was for sale. The caller said the two could be seen on the second floor with flashlights. Police arrested a 17 year old Wakefield resident and charged him with B&E in the nighttime for a misdemeanor. They also arrested Tyler Gordon, 18, 205 Oak Street, Wakefield, and charged him with B&E in the nighttime for a misdemeanor.
At 1:18 a.m. police took a call from Union Street regarding ongoing harassment.
At 2:48 a.m. a caller reported a runaway 14 year old girl who returned home a while later.
At 11:18 a.m. a business on Princess Street reported a woman had walked in and stolen an employee’s purse and camera.
At 12:01 p.m. a woman reported someone had damaged her car with a baseball bat on Auburn Street.
At 2:48 p.m. a man was reported sitting in the drive-thru at McDonald’s on Main Street. An officer gave him a ride to the Clarion Hotel.
At 5:39 p.m. the fire department assisted a Harts Hill Road resident with a lockout.
At 6:19 p.m. a man called to report that he may have just struck a pedestrian on North Ave. The victim appeared to be fine, did not want further assistance, and never reported the matter.
At 7:30 p.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to an accident near 128 on Audubon Road.
At 8:53 p.m. police arrested James Robert Cress, 33, 310 Green St., North Andover, a number plate violation, and on two warrants.
At 9:34 p.m. police took a report involving phone harassment from a Winship Drive resident.

On Sunday, February 24th at 12:13 a.m. four intoxicated males were reportedly causing a disturbance on Cedar Street. They were gone on arrival.
At 2:09 a.m. a woman reported that her car was damaged by another vehicle while she was parked at a restaurant. It turned out that she was looking for the police in Wakefield, Rhode Island.
At 11:41 a.m. a hit and run accident that occurred the previous evening was reported near Lowell Street and Vernon Street.
At 1:13 p.m. a woman reported losing a wallet near Gould Street.
At 7:02 p.m. police issued a summons to a 67 year old Stoneham man for an uninsured motor vehicle and for operating with a suspended/revoked registration.
At 8:08 p.m. a disabled vehicle was reportedly causing a road hazard on Montclare Ave.
At 8:16 p.m. a caller reported threatening phone calls from his daughter’s ex-boyfriend.

At 2:52 a.m. on Monday, February 25th, a company North Ave. reported a 1995 red Ford pickup truck with a plow on the front was stolen from the parking lot sometime over the weekend.
At 4:39 a.m., an officer spotted a vehicle reported stolen out of Beverly parked on Main Street. The vehicle was towed.
