Traveling Librarian Gives Lecture on Laos Tonight

Tonight at 7 p.m. at the Beebe Library, Traveling Librarian Jeff Klapes gives a presentation on a visit to Laos. A follow up lecture is planned for Tuesday, May 21 at 7 p.m.

Tomorrow from noon to 7 p.m. the Wakefield Chamber of Commerce has an open house for HD Physical Therapy at Lakeside Office Park, 607 North Ave..

Looking ahead to next Sunday, May 19th, there.s a Home, Health and Garden show at the Americal Civic Center at 467 Main Street. Local businesses and nonprofits will be on hand. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Jim Cotter of Wakefield Cares, Inc. is organizing an Italian buffet/comedy fundraising night for homeless veterans on Friday, May 17 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at the Mattola VFW Post, 84 Temple Street, Revere. Bowl-A-Thon: There’s still time to get involved with the upcoming Bowl-a-Thon to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Stoneham and Wakefield. The event is Sunday, May 19th at the Wakefield Bowladrome and teams of up to 4 can participate. Click here to learn more.
