Things to Know: Galvin Public Forum is Tonight
A few news tidbits worth knowing today including: community, schools, town and business. There's something for everyone!
Here are a few things worth knowing today, Wednesday, June 6, 2012:
Weather: Today there's a 40 percent chance of showers, mainly after 9 a.m., and it will be partly cloudy with a high of 63 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Community: Looking to take the kids out for dinner and a show? There will be a free magic show for kids at the Dockside Restaurant tonight from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Schools: The final vote to decide whether or not Wakefield residents will commit to paying for a new Galvin Middle School is coming up, and tonight at 6:30 p.m. there will be a public forum and tour opportunity for residents who are looking for more information before the final vote. See here for more information on the forum. The final vote itself will be held this Saturday, June 9th.
Government: Today at 3 p.m. the Town of Wakefield will test its new emergency notification system. Even if you missed the test, it’s not too late to sign up. To register, just go to the Wakefield Fire Department’s website, www.wakefieldfire.org, and follow the link at the bottom of the home page to the “CodeRedCommunity Notification Enrollment” page.
