Things to Know: Art in the Park with Kidcasso

Information about the Tall Ships in Boston, the Wakefield Farmer's market, and more things to know today.

 

Here are a few things worth knowing on Friday, June 29, 2012:

Weather: Today will be partly sunny with a high near 92 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. 

Weekend Events: The Tall Ships are here! If you're thinking of heading into Boston this weekend to view the Tall Ships, check out the schedule for where and when to catch all the Shipping Up to Boston action. 

Community: Shop for locally grown fruits and vegetables, pastries, bread, seafood, flowers, jams wine and other goods at the Wakefield Farmer's Market, today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 595 North Avenue. Art: Got creative kids? March them down to the lower common of Lake Quannapowitt today at 4 p.m. for Kidcasso Art Studio's FREE Art in the Park program. Each hour from 4 - 7 p.m., 24 kids will get a chance to paint and draw for free. See here for more information
