Things to Know: American Red Cross Blood Drive Today

News you can use today including: schools, business, and community.

Here are a few things worth knowing on Friday, July 20, 2012:

Weather: Today will be partly sunny with a high near 76 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. 

Schools: Wakefield Public Schools have voted to offer the position of interim Superintendent to Dr. Garry Murphy, a retired former Superintendnet in Byfield, MA with experience in school construction and mentoring administrators. Community: The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive today from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Americal Civic Center. All donors will receive a coupon for a FREE carton of Friendly's ice cream. See here for more details. 

Business: Shop for locally grown fruits and vegetables, pastries, bread, seafood, flowers, jams wine and other goods at the Wakefield Farmer's Market, today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 595 North Avenue.
