Theft and a Hit and Run Reported Tuesday

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Tuesday, February 19th, 2013.
At 8:58 a.m. police took a report of a larceny at a business on Lakeview Ave.
At 10:15 a.m. an officer was called to a Water Street business for what turned out to be a civil matter with a person out in front of the place.
At 11:17 a.m. a wallet reported either lost or stolen at the senior center was found.
At 12:35 p.m. police took a report of credit card fraud.
At 2:22 p.m. a hit and run accident was reported near Lowell Street and Vernon Street.
At 2:42 p.m. the K9 unit assisted with a car stop near Traverse Street but no narcotics were found.
At 3:17 p.m. a caller reported a customer dispute at a Main Street business. The matter was resolved.
At 6:57 p.m. police took a report of a restraining order violation and issued a summons to a 30 year old Medford man for violating a 209A abuse prevention order.
At 9:14 p.m. a clerk at a New Salem Street business reported that a group of possibly intoxicated youths had been causing a disturbance. An officer found the group of seven youths was not intoxicated. They were driven home by parents.
