Smoke at the Donut Shop and Youths on Scooters

Information provided by Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, February 28th, 2013.
At 9:25 a.m. a caller reported smoke coming from the Honey Dew Donuts on Main Street. The fire department was notified.
At 10:25 a.m. a woman reportedly fell down some stairs on Albion Street and hurt her head. She was transported to a local hospital.
At 10:47 a.m. a  caller on Gumwood Lane reported a suspicious red Toyota Camry. The vehicle was not spotted.
At 1:34 p.m. a minor accident was reported near North Ave. and Chestnut Street.
At 4:21 p.m. police responded to a verbal argument on Avon Court.
At 5:19 p.m. a caller reported a suspicious green sedan with two older male occupants on Preston Street. The vehicle was not spotted.
At 5:55 p.m. police issued a summons to a 29 year old Lowell man for unlicensed operation of a vehicle and a lights violation.
At 6:13 p.m. police responded to a verbal dispute on Audubon Road.
At 7:02 p.m. a dispute between a man and a woman was reported in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot on Main Street.
At 7:58 p.m. some youths were reported riding scooters and throwing snowballs near Montrose Ave. and Mackenzie Lane.
At 10:23 p.m. police arrested Cesar V. Castro, 26, 50 Albion Street, Wakefield, and charged him with assault and battery – domestic.
