Slashed Tires And A Vehicle On The Stairs

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012.
At 5:30 p.m., police took a report of a disabled vehicle near North Ave. The vehicle was gone on arrival.
At 5:58 p.m., a caller reported an erratic operator on Preston Street. Police found the vehicle parked and unoccupied.
At 6:24 p.m., a woman reported that her tires had been slashed on Main Street. The incident turned out to have happened in Melrose and police in that town were notified.
At 7:17 p.m., police issued a summons to a 27 year old Lowell man for operating with a revoked or suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
At 7:58 p.m., police took a report of a suspicious car near Holland Road with three occupants. An officer sent them on their way.
At 9:20 p.m., a Green Street resident reported that a vehicle had just struck her front stairs. The vehicle was towed from the scene and no injuries or charges were reported.
At 9:37 p.m., a caller reported two reckless drivers in the middle school parking lot. They were gone on arrival.
At 9:43 p.m., police were informed of a black vehicle on Richardson Street where two other vehicles had pulled up and then driven away.
