Saturday: Texas Hold'em To Benefit The Angel Fund

This Saturday evening, Dec. 1 - Texas Hold'em Tournament at the Clarion Inn (Formerly The Lord Wakefield) to benefit the Angel Fund.

The following is an announcement from The Angel Fund, a Wakefield-Based Nonprofit:

A Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament fundraiser will be held this Saturday evening, December 1st at the Clarion Inn, 595 North Avenue in Wakefield.  Doors open at 5 p.m. followed by the tournament at 6 p.m. The proceeds will benefit The Angel Fund, a 501 (c) (3) charity that supports ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) research at UMass Medical School.

The tournament is professionally coordinated by the Poker Players Alliance. All players must be 18 years of age or older.

Prizes will be awarded to top players based on the number of entrants. A donation of $100 will enable players to buy in for 10,000 chips and there will be 20-minute blinds. The entry fee includes appetizers. A cash bar will also be available.
