Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, November 8, 2012.
At 8:03 a.m., a caller from the breakdown lane on 128 North reported he had just struck a ladder, with no injuries. State Police responded to the scene.
At 9:40 a.m., a Mt. Pleasant resident reported an attempted break-in had just occurred. As noted in this Friday article, suspects in a stolen car reportedly tried to pry open a back door without realizing somebody was home.
At 12:24 p.m., an accident was reported on North Ave. near the Reading town line.
At 1:19 p.m., a Harding Road resident reported a break-in at her home where a TV was missing.
At 5:11 p.m., police did a walk-through for a homeowner on Beechtree Circle who came home to find her door open. Nothing out of order was found.
At 5:14 p.m. an accident was reported at North Ave. and Quannapowitt Parkway.
At 5:36 p.m., transit police reported that there was a possible bus fire near Main Street and Lowell Street. It turned out to be a small fire in a passenger compartment, which was extinguished by the bus driver. Fire personnel and transit police were also on the scene.
At 5:54 p.m., police took a report involving an online eBay scam.
