Police Log: Two Wakefield Men Arrested on the Same Day

A pair of Wakefield men were arrested on Aug. 28 in two unrelated cases.
At 10:08 a.m., Wakefield police were called to a restaurant on Tuttle Street for a report of larceny. The restaurant owner claimed a man at the restaurant allegedly stole more than $64 in food without paying for it. James McLennan, 47, of 1 Hickory Hill Road, Wakefield, was arrested and charged with larceny under $250.
At 2:59 p.m., police responded to Hart Street to serve an arrest warrant. James Fletcher, 44, of 4 Hart St., Wakefield, was arrested on a warrant charging him with assault and battery.

@1:47 p.m.: Police called to the area of Main and Lawrence Streets for a report of a motor vehicle crash. No injuries or transports were noted in the log entry. Police investigated the incident and filed a report.
@4:19 p.m.: Police responded to the area of Main and Nahant Streets on a report of a minor two-car accident. The caller reported the other driver was agitated. The two parties swapped insurance paper.
@5:13 p.m.: Police called to Hemlock Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash. The incident was investigated and a report filed.
@10:37 p.m.: Police called to a hotel on North Avenue for a report of a disturbance. The employee who allegedly called in the complaint reported a drunk white man threatening employees, according to police. The man was described as 5-foot-9 heavy-set with black hair and wearing a navy blue shirt. The man was sent on his way and told not to return to the hotel, according tio police.
