Featured Item:

Two Wakefield teens suspected of dealing drugs in Wakefield were arrested in the Irving Gast Station parking lot on Tuesday evening.

Anthony Losco, 17, of 3 Confalone Circle and Amanda Staskiewicz, 19, of 410 Salem Street, were allegedly found with a large amount of marijunana and about $1,500 in cash inside the car, according to police.

Wakefield Police said they first noticed a car with tinted windows parked in the very back of the gas station's parking lot around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, which seemed suspicious, they said.

"They were parked in the back of the lot not really doing anything, away from the building, all it self - it didn’t look right," said Lieutenant Craig Calabrese of the Wakefield Police Department.

As police approached the car, they said they detected an odor of marijuana immediately. Upon investigation, police found three bags of marijuana - one in the center console, one in the female's handbag, and a third, which was found with the assistance of the K-9 unit. Police also found a total of $1,500 in cash in the car, and discovered a knife tucked into the boot of the female.

Losco will be charged with possession to distribute a Class D drug, and having an obstructed window. Staskiewicz will be charged with possesion to distribute a Class D drug and carrying a dangerous weapon. They were both scheduled to be arraigned in Malden District Court.
