Police Log: Two Reading Residents Arrested on Drug Possession Charges

At 4:54 p.m. Aug. 31, Wakefield Police responded to North Avenue for a report of suspicious activity. The caller reported possible drug activity at that location. Anthony DeMarco, 22, of 170 Green St., and Nicole Pustorino, 18, of 21 Lewis St., both of Reading, were arrested anc charged with possession of a class A drug.

@7:52 a.m.: Police called to Hemlock Road on a report of a disturbance. The female caller reported a man allegedly kicked his dog at Breakheart Reservation, according to police. The caller made a comment to the man and he allegedly threatened her and her husband, according to police. State Police were notified about the incident.

@9:28 a.m.: Police responded to Salem Street for a report of suspicious calls. The caller claimed the calls were from solicitors that told her she'd won the lottery and they were attempting to gain personal information, according to police. Police told the woman not to give out her information and change her cell phone number.

@11:24 a.m.: Police called to Tuttle Street on a report of a garter snake in the office. The snake was placed back in its natural environment, according to police.
