Police Log: Three Arrested for Alleged Underage Drinking

Wakefield Police arrested three men for drinking in public on Richardson Avenue.

Wakefield Police Log for Thursday, April 19, 2012:
The following information was supplied by the Wakefield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

7:32 p.m. - Wakefield Police arrested three individuals for allegedly drinking underage in public and tresspassing on Richardson Street. Police said they observed Tyler Healey, 17 of 14 Avon Ct., Anthony Janerico, 23, of 7 Woodbury Rd., and Kenneth Ebrecht, 18, of 64 Gould St. in the rear of a building on Richardson Street drinking open containers of 4 Loko malt beverage, an alcoholic drink. Police said Janerico was also found to be in possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. They were all arrested and charged with tresspassing. Healey and Ebrecht were also charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Other incidents:
11:48 a.m. - A parent reported that her son was assaulted while at the Northeast Metro Technical School on Hemlock Road. However, police had no further information at this time.

2:40 p.m. - A New Salem Street business owner reported that a dumpster belonging to his business had been flipped upside down overnight. The owner said he believes it to be an on-going dispute with another construction company in the area. Police will be investigating security video footage.

9:12 p.m. - Wakefield Police put a man in protective custody for allegedly punching a bus and causing a disturbance in the Sheraton Colonial parking lot. Police said they had responded to the hotel's parking lot on Audubon Road for a report of an accident between a car and a bus. However, when they arrived, police noticed a man who appeared to be intoxicated that began to make a disturbance in the parking lot. Police said the man walked up to the bus, smashed his head against it, and punched it. He was later determined to not have been involved in the accident. He was taken into protective custody.

10:09  p.m. - A resident of Davey Lane reported that someone had installed cable service in Malden under her name. Wakefield detectives are investigating.

10:33 p.m. - Wakefield police responded to Kendrick Road for a disturbance between two females. One of the females allegedly scratched the other one. She was transported to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for an evaluation. She will be summoned on charges of domestic assault and battery.

11:49 p.m.  - A resident of Myrtle Avenue who had his driver's side view mirror smashed off his car the previous night reported that someone smashed the other mirror off his car sometime during the evening. The incident is under police investigation.

Friday, April 20:
12:11 a.m. - A caller reported seeing a woman being dragged into a van on Quannapowitt Parkway. Police were unable to locate the van, but did observe security video footage that showed a woman exit a van and fall on the ground, then was carried back into the van. Police are unsure if an actual crime occured and are still investigating.
