Police Log: Man 'Asked to Go to Wal-Mart' by Caller
A Wakefield man received a phone call to immediately go to Wal-Mart to buy someone else some items.

Featured item: A resident of Outlook Road reported receving a suspicious phone call around 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Wakefield Police Department. The man reported an unknown male called him and asked him to go to Wal-Mart immediately and buy some items for him. The caller told the man he would give him more money than what it cost for the items, police said. The caller had the man's name and address. Police told the victim they suspected a potential house break into his home and checked the area, but did not find anything suspicious.
11:43 a.m. - A business owner on North Avenue reported discovering that money was missing from her business. However, she was unsure if it was misplaced or actually stolen and didn't file a police report.
1:48 p.m. - Police responded to Albion Street for a report that two females were involved in a fight. However, the women were not fighting when police arrived and denied there being a fight.
9:20 p.m. - Police received a call that someone was illegally dumping trash in the cemetery on Lowell Street. However, when police responded, they found a vehicle stuck in the mud in the cemetery. They said there was no evidence the car had been dumping trash.
