Police Log: Lynn Man Arrested on a Warrant

At 6:12 p.m. Aug. 26, Wakefield police conducted a motor vehicle stop. Alba Esteban, 22, of 70 Kirtland, Lynn, was arrested on a warrant charging him with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Aug. 26

@4:30 a.m.: Police called to the area of North Avenue and Main Street for a report of man who allegedly ran out of a cab without paying the fare. The suspect was described wearing blue jeans and black t-shirt. The suspect was gone on arrival.

@10:03 a.m.: Police responded to Bartley Street for a report of an injured cat in a back yard acting aggressive when approached. The cat later died, according to police.

@11:11 a.m.: Police called to Prospect Street on a report of a larceny. The caller reported change missing from a coin container in his home. Police filed a report.

@3:35 p.m.: Police respond to Montrose Avenue on a report of a larceny. The caller reported that his bicycle was stolen. 

@8:13 p.m.: Police called to Lowell Street for a report of a hazmat incident. The caller reported an oil slick on the roadway. Fire Department notified and responded.
