Police Log, Feb. 1: One Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

1:19 p.m. - Robert Fossett, 34, of 263 Albion Street, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Police said they observed Fossett walking down Albion Street and recognized him as having an active warrant for his arrest. Police did not have further information on the charges against Fossett out of Malden District Court.

Other Incidents:
9:50 a.m. - Wakefield Police on patrol in the area of North Ave and Albion Street noticed a gray Toyota sedan stopped in front of him at a red light. After running a routine registration check, police determined the driver, an Everett man, did not have a valid registration or car insurance coverage for the vehicle. Police will summon the man to Malden District Court on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and driving an uninsured motor vehicle.
10:34 a.m. - After a routine registry check of a car traveling on Nahant Street, officers determined the driver did not have a valid license. When police stopped the car, they also said the man was driving without wearing his seatbelt.The driver, a man from Lynn, will be summoned to Malden District Court on unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failing to wear a seat belt.
11:17 a.m. - An officer on detail on Harrington Court reported seeing a hit-and-run accident, but both cars drove off and police were unable to locate them afterwards.
3:36 p.m. - A minor car crash occured on Salem Street. No injuries were reported.
4:33 p.m. - A Gould Street resident reported that someone stole a small wicker table from her front porch overnight. The table was worth $150.
7:30 p.m. - Police responded to a dispute at a Salem Street gas station. A customer alleged he paid for gas, but did not receive what he paid for. An officer responded and settled the dispute.
