Police Log: Father and Son Duo Arrested on Drug and Assault Charges
Police arrested a father and son on Bartley Street for drug and assault charges on July 3rd.

Featured item: Wakefield Police arrested a father and a son on assault and drug charges on Tuesday night. Police said they were called to a residence on Bartley Street for an argument between a male and a female. When police arrived, the female victim told them that Roger Parcellin, 60, of 11 Bartley St. had been in a verbal argument with her and threatened her with a knife. Police took him into custody and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon and threats to commit a crime.
While police were on scene, they questioned Joseph Parcellin, 18, who police said smelled strongly of marijuana. As police were searching Parcellin, they found a bag of marijuana and a small plastic pill bottle with about 26 Percocet pills. Police said the pills were no prescribed to Parcellin. Joseph Parcellin was charged with possession to distribute a Class B stubstance.

Tuesday, July 3:
10:13 a.m. - A man was reported for sunbathing "only covered by a towel." Police said the man was wearing more than just a towel.
10:23 p.m. - Liberty Chevrolet reported that someone had used the company's credit card to charge several thousands of dollars to a company in Russia. Police said there were two charges for $1,000, and one for $2,000. Police are investigating.
10:40 a.m. - A town van was vandalized while it was parked overnight on Converse Street. Police said someone smashed the van's sideview mirror.
12:45 - An elderly female with dementia was reported missing from a Main Street parking lot. The woman was located soon afterwards.
1:31 p.m. - An accident was reported between a car and a cyclist. No injuries were reported.
9:17 p.m. - Police responded to a call for a large amount of fireworks in the Melvin Street area. The owner of the fireworks was asked to stop.
9:43 p.m. - Police responded to a call for fireworks on Montrose School Lane. Police asked the group to stop.
Wendesday, July 4:
12:21 p.m. - Police received a call for a car traveling the wrong way in the 129 Rotary. Police responded and determined it was an elderly man who
9:06 p.m. - Police arrested an 18-year-old Wakefield resident for allegedly drinking in public. Police said that during the fireworks, they checked on a group of youths reportedly drinking beer. When police checked out the group they discovered that Tyler Healy, 18, of 14 Avon Ct. allegedly was in possesion of a black double-edged knife that was stored in a sheath on his belt. He was also seen drinking a beer. Healy was charged with violating the town's by-law for an open container of alcohol, being a person under 21 in possession of alcohol, and carrying a dangerous weapon.
9:20 p.m. - Police responded to Spaulding Street for a report that youths were causing a disturbance. Police asked the youths to leave the area.
10:42 p.m. - Police responded for a call that a man with a light sabar was chasing people in a parking lot on Albion Street. Police said the man checked out.
11:32 p.m. - Police received a call for a missing 28-year-old woman from a Lowell Street home. The woman was found soon after.
