Police Log: Bank Robbery at The Savings Bank
Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Monday afternoon at The Savings Bank on North Avenue.

Featured item: Wakefield detectives are searching for a suspect in a bank robbery at The Savings Bank that occurred on Monday afternoon.
Police said a male suspect on a cell phone entered the North Avenue branch of The Savings Bank around 4 p.m. on Monday, and passed a note to the tellers demanding money. The note said he had a weapon on him, although no weapon was shown.
The suspect then left the bank on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
The suspect was described as a darker-skinned Hispanic male, 5'3", in his 20s to 30s, with dark tattoos on his arms and neck, and wearing a blue baseball hat and a yellow striped shirt.

10:48 p.m. - A victim reported that someone had broken into her car while it was parked overnight on Columbia Road. However, police had no futher information on the incident.
11:44 p.m. - Wakefield Police responded to a three-car accident at the intersection of North Avenue and 128 North on-ramp. One person had to be transported to the hospital for injuries. Two vehicles were towed from the scene. However, police had no further information on this incident.
2:14 p.m. - A resident of Woodbury Road reported that someone was fraudulently using her mother's debit card. Several charges had been made to the card, including two purchases out of Fort Lauderdale, FL for $118 and $667, and two cash withdrawals from an ATM for $300 each. Police believe they have a possible suspect in the case. The case is still currently under investigation.
4:35 p.m. - A resident of Hart Street reported she was notified by her credit card company about two suspicious transactions on her Bank of America debit card. Two two hundred dollar gift cards were purchased from Carsons.com, a department store in Ohio. The matter is under investigation.
6:16 p.m. - Wakefield Police arrested an Everett man on several drug-related charges. Police said a Woburn police detective alterted Wakefield Police to possible suspicious activity on Audubon Road involving a male driving a white Huyndai Sonata and a male driving a Subaru with New Hampshire plates. The detective said he believed he had witness a drug transaction had occured between the two men.
Wakefield Police responded to the area and found the Subaru, which was driven by Jeffrey Hoskyns, 24, of Everett, MA. Police said they observe Hoskyns drive about 75 yards before coming to a complete stop, and also said they noticed him moving things around in his vehicle. Police determined that Hoskyns had an outstanding warrant for probation violation and drug offenses, so he was arrested. Inside Hoskyns wallet, police said they found a small plastic bag that contained herion, and another plastic bag with pills of methodone.
Hoskyns was arrested on the outstanding warrant charges, possession of Class A drug, and possession of Class B drugs out of Malden District Court.
