Here are highlights of the reports coming out of area media outlets about the horrifying allegations made public Thursday: That Wakefield's John Burbine co-ran an unlicensed day care with his wife, Marian, allowing him to allegedly molested at least 13 children. One of the alleged victims was eight days. John Burbine is alleged to have videotaped several of the assaults.

Boston Globe: Neighbors say the wife of the accused had warned them not to let her husband babysite their kids.

7News: Patch news partners WHDH broadcast their report from outside the house of the accused couple in Wakefield. They have video of District Attorney Gerry Leone describing the case as the "worst he has ever seen."

7News: WHDH also has tips for checking the background of your child care providers. One Wakefield mom told us at Patch that she did indeed investigate John Burbine's background, but that his status as a Level 1 sex offender is not public information. Only Level 3 offenders, deemed most likely to re-offend, must have their names, photos and addresses made public.

Boston Herald: Jessica Heslam talked to local parents who told her "It's your worst nightmare as far as your kids go."

NECN: The district attorney has said there may be more victims. NECN says District Attorney Leone asks that potential victims call the Child Abuse Hotline at 781-897-8400.

John Burbine, 49, faces more than 100 counts of child sex abuse. He is being held without bail. His lawyer says he plans to plead not guilty, several outlets report. His wife, Marian Burbine, was charged with reckless endangerment of a child. She is free on bail but under house arrest.
