Man Unhurt After Fall Through The Ice

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, January 3, 2013.
At 7:51 a.m., police assisted with a disabled vehicle near North Ave. and Route 128.
At 8:19 and 8:56 a.m., police were informed the railroad gates on Greenwood Street were stuck down.
At 12:08 p.m., police were informed of a man who fell through the ice on the lake, not far from Church Street. Action Ambulance and the fire department responded to the scene and the individual reportedly declined medical treatment.
At 1:30 p.m., a suspicious man was reported walking around on Melvin Street. He was gone on arrival.
At 4:33 p.m., a caller near Church Street reported that two youths were out on the ice on the lake. An officer advised them to remain close to the shore.
At 6:05 p.m., police issued a summons to a 31 year old Methuen man for operating with a revoked or suspended license.
At 6:12 p.m., police took a report of a drug offense on Albion Street.
At 7:13 p.m., a caller on Main Street reported that his cell phone had just been stolen and that an altercation had ensued when he tried to retrieve it. Further investigation found that the altercation ensued during an exchange of property and the matter was considered resolved.
At 8:35 p.m., a caller reported a motorist illegally dumping trash on the sidewalk on Albion Street.
At 8:59 p.m., a caller reported that several youths in a car had struck his car with an egg.
At 9:08 p.m., police arrested a juvenile female for assault and battery on a police officer.
