Man Charged With Sixth License Offense; Juvenile Joyrider Damages Cars

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, September 28 and Sunday, September 30, 2012.
On Friday, Sept. 28 at 1:03 p.m., police helped a woman look for a missing purse on Otis Street. It was not found.
At 2:44 p.m., a citizen reported finding a capped syringe near a tree at Mountain Ave. and Albion Street.
At 2:55 p.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to an accident on Smith Street.
At 7:02 p.m., John Thomas Kehoe Jr., 45, 48 Water Street, Apt. 25, Wakefield, was arrested for operating a vehicle with a suspended license, sixth offense.
At 7:30 p.m., police were informed of a three-car accident at Water Street and Vernon Street.
At 7:40 p.m., a caller reported that his 8 month old child fell. The child was treated at the scene by EMTs.
At 7:50 p.m., a caller reported some suspicious youths in the new playground on Harrington Court. They were gone on arrival.
At 8:21 p.m., a man reported that his girlfriend was out of control and throwing things. Police determined that the nature was verbal only and the woman left for the night.
At 9:31 p.m., a caller reported some youths trespassing in a garage on Water Street. Police arrested a 17 year old Saugus teen for underage possession of liquor.
On Saturday, Sept 29 at 6:37 a.m., a Main Street resident reported his vehicle was entered during the night but nothing was taken.
At 8:18 a.m., a Main Street resident reported an unlocked vehicle was entered during the night but nothing taken.
At 9:16 a.m., a woman reported that another woman had collapsed during a fitness class on Audubon Road.
At 9:45 a.m., a third call was received about a vehicle B+E on Main Street.
At 10:35 a.m., police were informed of stolen copper on Salem Street.
At 2:26 p.m., a car with a female operator reportedly struck multiple vehicles on Main Street and fled. The unoccupied car was soon located on Central Street. Police arrested a 16-year old juvenile for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of property damage.
At 7:22 p.m., a Salem Street resident reported the occupants of a black four wheel drive vehicle swore at her and threw a beer bottle at her.
At 7:58 p.m., police and rescue personnel were informed of a bicyclist down at Main Street and Albion Street with a possible broken leg.
At 9:19 p.m., a caller reported a group of youths were being unruly in the McDonald’s parking lot and kicking balls around. Police sent them on their way.
On Sunday, Sept. 30 at 1:12 a.m., a woman called to report that her ex-husband may have assaulted her son. Soon after, police arrested John Vasquez, 45, 20 Oak Street, Wakefield, for assault and battery – domestic, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, and two counts of cruelty to animals.
At 1:39 a.m., a caller reported a stolen Cadillac Escalade but was referred to Boston Police, where the crime apparently happened.
At 1:59 p.m., police issued a summons to a 19 year old Lynn man for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.
At 4:19 p.m. a caller reported she had been in an accident at North Ave. and Quannapowitt Parkway.
At 9:35 p.m., several calls came in for a multiple-car crash at New Salem Street and Butler Ave.
At 9:44 p.m., a caller reported being threatened by a man on Frank Street. Police seized a weapon and issued a summons to a 27 year old Boston man for threatening to commit a crime, to wit, kill.
