Man Buying Tobacco For Youths Arrested On A Warrant

Information provided by Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, November 1, 2012.
At 8:48 a.m., police investigated a rear door left open on Converse Street.
At 10 a.m., a citizen turned in a Blackberry found in a parking lot on Union Street.
At 11:51 a.m. a Renee Drive resident reported a stolen generator some time during the week.
At 12:35 p.m., a woman reported a case of harassment, possibly connected to a lost wallet.
At 2:12 p.m., a caller reported finding a puppy near the Melrose/Wakefield line.
At 3:35 p.m., a caller reported witnessing a man on Main Street purchasing tobacco products for a group of four youths. Police issued a summons to a 47 year old Wakefield man for delivering tobacco to a minor.
At 3:47 p.m. during a call to Main Street, police arrested Arthur P. Oles, 47, 25 Lafayette Street, Wakefield, on a warrant.
At 5:05 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious SUV near Harwick Road. It belonged to a bow hunter in the area who had the proper paperwork to be doing so.
At 5:21 p.m., a caller reported somebody dumping leaves in area near a “no dumping” sign. Police advised them to stop doing so.
At 6:16 p.m., a woman reported fraudulent activity in her bank account.
At 6:40 p.m. an accident was reported on Main Street.
