Man Arrested For OUI, Open Container

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Tuesday, August 21.

At 9:58 a.m., police and fire personnel responded to West Water Street for a report of a woman who fell down the stairs.
At 12:40 p.m., police issued a summons to a 24 year old Wakefield man for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
At 2:26 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious car carrier driving around near Eaton Street. It turned out to be picking up a car on Park Street.
At 2:35 p.m., Melrose informed Wakefield of a wanted individual possibly in town. A search of the area came up negative.
At 3:15 p.m., police arrested Daniel Powers, 54, of 224 Park Street, Stoneham, was arrested for OUI Liquor and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
At 3:51 p.m., a two-car accident was reported on Main Street.
At 5:13 p.m., an accident was reported on the 129 Rotary.
At 5:33 p.m., detectives investigated a possible drug offense on 95 South.
At 6:54 p.m., a caller reported that a dark colored vehicle struck a mailbox on Reynolds Road and then drove onto Old Nahant Road.
At 7:45 p.m., police took a walk-in report involving a past roommate.
At 8:26 p.m., a caller reported a domestic disturbance on Lowell Street. Soon after, police arrested James M. Caterino, 59, 579 Main Street, Woburn, for assault and battery/domestic.
At 8:36 p.m., Reading informed Wakefield of an erratic operator heading toward North Ave. The vehicle was located and the driver checked out OK.
