Library Patron Wakes Up After Closing Time

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
At 7:38 a.m. a caller reported a suspicious man walking on the tracks near Myrtle Ave. He was gone on arrival.
At 8:04 a.m., a man reported that a construction truck had struck him.
At 8:14 a.m., an accident was reported on Main Street.
At 9:24 a.m., an individual came in to report a harassment case.
At 2:11 p.m., police took a harassment report from a Bennett Street resident.
At 7:23 p.m., police, fire personnel and state police responded to an area near Salem Street and Main Street for a report of a smoking object in the street that resembled a hand grenade. A more detailed account of that incident can be read at this link.
At 9:22 p.m., a burglar alarm went off at the Beebe Library. Police discovered that an individual had apparently fallen asleep at the library prior to closing and otherwise checked out OK.
At 12:20 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, police arrested Linda M. Elliott, 53, 16 Morris Street, Everett, for a marked lanes violation and OUI liquor.
At 1:14 a.m. police took a report from the Sheraton on Audubon Road about an intoxicated individual in the lobby who had what appeared to be two handguns. They turned out to be BB guns.
