House Fire Among Monday Service Calls

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Monday, March 18, 2013.
At 11:30 a.m. a Ledgewood Road resident reported smoke coming from a neighbor’s house. The fire department extinguished a small house fire.
At 12:11 p.m. an officer spoke with two males on Richardson Street who had been reported acting suspiciously and sent them on their way.
At 2:35 p.m. police and the DPW were informed of a large amount of glass in the street near Main Street and Forest Street.
At 4:08 p.m. police took a report involving threats.
At 5:07 p.m. police issued a citation and two written warnings near Prospect Street and Hopkins Street in response to some speeding complaints.
At 5:33 p.m. a suspicious vehicle was reported parked near Old Colony Road. It turned out to be a Comcast employee.
At 5:57 p.m. a caller reported a man was urinating on the side of the post office.
At 6 p.m. a man came in to the station to file a report about a fight in Stoneham that had left him with a cut hand.
At 6:40 p.m. a Melrose Terrace resident reported a cell phone was on his stairs when he got home.
At 6:50 p.m. a man reported finding a wallet on Broadway.
