Puppet Show: If you’re looking for a cure for possible cabin fever by Sunday, at 2 p.m. puppeteer Brad Shur performs at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Main Street with Magic Soup in a fundraiser for the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry. Try Hockey For Free: Coming up on Saturday, February 16th – Wakefield Youth Skating Association (WYSA) and Hockey USA are offering a Try Hockey for Free event with an 8:30 a.m. sign up and 9 to 10 a.m. ice session at Hockey Town on Route 1 in Saugus.  Bring warm clothes, winter gloves, ice skates, a helmet (hockey type preferred) and a stick. WYSA will also have a limited amount of protective gear. Registration is also at www.tryhockeyforfree.com.

Play on Sunday: The Quannapowitt Players are putting on a new play by Dustin Lance Black, “8,” which focuses on the legal battle over California’s Proposition 8 same-sex marriage ban.
