Five Things To Know Today: School Committee Meets, And a 30-Year Reunion

A look at what's coming up in and around Wakefield.

 

Today is Tuesday, March 19th. Here are five things worth knowing today.

Town Business: There’s a special meeting of the school committee tonight at 7 p.m. at the Wakefield High School main office conference. The agenda includes an update on the ongoing superintendent hiring process.

The Wakefield Memorial High School Class of 1983 is having their 30th reunion on Saturday, November 30 at the Sheraton Colonial. They have a Facebook page here for the event

Prom Dress Drive: Do you have a new or gently used prom dress you can donate to a student who would otherwise not be able to afford one? Wakefield High School is having their third annual prom dress drive this week. Drop them off at the main office between now and Friday. Click here for more.

Town Candidate Debates: On Monday April 1st at Wakefield Cable Access TV Studios,  candidates for selectman and school board will participate in a candidates forum starting at 7 p.m.  Click here to learn more.

Concussion Education: The SLICE concussion education program is on Wednesday, March 20th at 7 p.m. in the Lynnfield Middle School Auditorium. The interactive program is geared toward students in grades 4-12, plus their parents and coaches, and is run by Boston University medical students. Click here for more information.
