Today is Friday March 8th. Here are five things you need to know.
Student-Faculty Game: Today at 3:15 p.m., it’s the 4th Grade Student-Faculty basketball game at the Dolbeare School. The event is hosted by the Moving On Committee and admission is $3 per person – and free for 4th graders. There will also be a free throw contest and refreshments for sale. Old and Historic Homes: Here’s something of interest to owners of old and historic homes happening on Tuesday, March 19th over at the Beebe Library in Wakefield – Sally Zimmerman of Historic New England will give a talk on color tips for painting your historic home. Graphic Novel Art: This Sunday, March 10th at 2 p.m. at the Beebe Library, artists Andy and Veronica Fish will lead a graphic novel workshop entitled “How to Draw Graphic Novel Style.” The workshop runs 75 minutes and is geared toward ages 14 and up.
Food Pantry Fundraiser: On Saturday, March 16th at 8 p.m., they’re having a concert to raise funds for the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry. Musicians Kim and Reggie Harris are performing, as is singer and folk guitarist Rabbi Jonathan Kligler. Click here for more information.
