Fire Log: Wakefield Responds to Melrose Fire

Total calls for service: 56

Fire incidents:
The Wakefield Fire Department responded to two calls for mutual aid in the last week, one to Saugus and one to Melrose. The first call was for a working fire at 1 Mason Drive in Melrose, a senior housing facility, on January 25 at 12:09 a.m. Three ended up having to be hospitalized in the blaze, and 100 others were displaced. Read more on Melrose Patch. The second fire was on January 29 at 1:02 p.m. for a working fire at 20 Robinson Street in Saugus. The Wakefield Fire Department stood by for about 45 minutes until they were released.
