I was told they were just remodeling...are we sure they're gone for good?

I don't think there is any one sure fire answer to this question. The addition of any new store should add to the vibrancy of the town as a whole. The Town has been working hard to promote the bustling of new business along its Main St. and continues to seek new ideas in accomplishing that goal. It is my belief that any store that seeks to open in Wakefield should augment that goal.

I think we really need another pizza place or italian restaurant :)

We need a Taco Bell

A service center where people who need rides,deliveries odd jobs done can register their wants and kids/ adults looking for work can be matched with them.

This all very nice, to keep the citizens in the Loop.
I was quiet shocked when CVS moved to a new location.
CVS was like anchor store in a mall. In addition the church that has no steeple? It was taken down a few years ago and the community has not come up to the plate to do something about it.
After all, it’s in the Center of Wakefield, having that down, doesn’t put the best foot forward for the Town of Wakefield.
Reading had the same situation about 2 decades ago with the church in the Center of Reading.
Reading church members, found a solution.
For one, the federal government has money for historic architecture, such this old church. In addition Volunteers, independent citizen from the community & the parishioners of the Church had fun drive. Citizens & Business and community came up to the task of collecting enough moneys to have a steeple fixed and started a trust for the church maintenance.

Wakefield should take a look at Melrose. They have a wonderful selection of stores, restaurants etc. It has a nice look and feel. No banners..all good signage and lighting. They have limited parking as Wakefield....we could push towards a downtown like they have....

I would love to see a PIZZA HUT !!! There isn't too many around. I know there is one on Rte.114 in Danvers/Peabody. Big variety on the menu. Check it out !!
