Couple Of Vandalism-Related Calls On Halloween

Information provided by the Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, October 31.
At 10 a.m., a caller reported that a woman texting in a car near Vernon Street had just cut him off.
At 10:32 a.m., police were called to Butler Ave. for a report of a dispute with workers over some proposed repairs.
At 12:06 p.m., the Wakefield Police K9 assisted Melrose with a vehicle search.
At 1:30 p.m., a caller reported that some youths were in front of the library throwing sticks and chasing squirrels.
At 7:02 p.m., police responded to Auburn Street for a report of a fight between several youths. Peace was restored.
At 7:47 p.m., police were informed that youths were throwing eggs at cars.
At 7:48 p.m., the fire call box at Chestnut Street and Emerson Street was knocked over and the alarm tripped.
At 7:48 p.m., police took a report of a broken window on Orchard Ave.
At 8:01 p.m., a verbal disturbance was reported on Audubon Street.
At 9:34 p.m. a caller reported a group of youths heading into the cemetery on Lowell Street. They were not located.
At 10:36 p.m., police took a report of a suspicious car and possible drug activity on Avon Court.

On Thursday at 1:36 a.m., police arrested Joseph Brown, 19, 17 Webster Court, Merrimack, NH for OUI Liquor, OUI Drugs, and Speeding.
