Counterfeit Money Turns Up Again on Main Street

Information provided by the Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, February 27, 2013.
At 10:32 a.m. police and fire personnel responded to Audbubon Road for a smell of gas in the building.
At 11:39 a.m. a caller reported that a suspicious man had gone behind the rear of a home on Davey Lane. It turned out to be a resident.
At 2:59 p.m. a woman on Broadway reportedly fell and struck her head.
At 3:01 p.m. a Main Street eatery asked police to check on a patron who was acting suspiciously.
At 3:38 p.m. a Main Street business reported that counterfeit bills had been passed, apparently back on February 17th. Similar reports were received in town earlier this winter.
At 4:09 p.m. police were informed of a double parked car blocking traffic near Stedman Street.
At 11:45 p.m. a harassment prevention order was reported violated.
