Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Monday, August 20.
At 9:57 a.m., an individual walked in to report the theft of a gold necklace. Soon after, police issued a summons to a 20 year old Wakefield man for larceny over $250.
At 11:56 a.m., a caller reported finding a small dog on Preston Street.
At 12:37 p.m., police took a walk-in credit card fraud report.
At 2:36 p.m., a caller reported that two men were hitting golf balls in a field on North Ave. An officer advised them to move along.
At 3:25 p.m., a bicycle was reported abandoned behind the Walton School.
At 5:30 p.m., police were informed of a stolen bicycle on Main Street.
At 6:37 p.m., a Brook Street resident reported the theft of a Tisei for Congress yard sign.
At 8:38 p.m., a Canada goose lawn ornament was reported stolen on Pearl Street.
At 8:44 p.m., a caller reported that some residents of an apartment building on Murray Street were throwing fireworks into the road.
At 8:56 p.m., a town resident called to report some jewelry stolen from home earlier in the day.
At 9:17 p.m., a Forest Street resident reported that a possibly rabid raccoon attacked his cat earlier in the day.
At 10:10 p.m., police checked on a report of a suspicious phone call.
