Broken Down Car Report Leads to Assault Arrest

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, March 14th, 2013.
At 1:07 p.m. a caller on Pine Ridge Road reported two suspicious males walking around in the neighborhood. They were gone on arrival.
At 4:36 p.m. police took a report of an assault on Charles Street. They issued a summons to a 42 year old Wakefield woman for assault and battery – domestic.
At 5:50 p.m. police and rescue personnel responded to a reported accident on the 129 Rotary. One patient was reporting neck injuries.
At 8:06 p.m. a Highland Street resident called about a diesel truck idling outside that was getting exhaust fumes into her house. The resident was told to keep the vehicle turned off.
At 1:16 a.m. a caller reported that there was a broken down vehicle near Main Street and North Ave. that appeared to have some females fighting in it. The caller also indicated that the women appeared to be “messed up.” Police arrested Jennifer M. Landry, 24, 71 Elm Street. Charlestown, and charged her with assault and battery. In a followup inquiry, Wakefield Police reported that there was an escalating argument in a parked car and the suspect, a passenger, allegedly punched the driver of the vehicle. No alcohol or drugs were reported involved.
