Bicyclist Injured In Main Street Accident

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Monday, September 24.
10:52 a.m., a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle on Main Street. Fire and Action Ambulance also responded.
At 2:54 p.m., police were informed of a small white dog, possibly injured, running around at the Spaulding Street Playground. Animal Control was notified and located the owner of the dog.
At 3:38 p.m., police took a walk-in identity fraud report.
At 3:40 p.m., a woman walked in to report that her granddaughter’s cell phone had been stolen.
At 5:38 p.m., a Renwick Road resident reported his vehicle was broken into the night before.
At 6:14 p.m. an accident was reported on the Route 129 Rotary.
At 6:50 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance on Middlesex Court and arrested Dhiren Patel, 40, 1 Middlesex Ct., Wakefield, for assault and battery – domestic.
At 8:42 p.m., Wakefield assisted Melrose in trying to apprehend two b+e suspects.
At 9:26 p.m., a caller reported that two men were on Main Street trying to steal the rims from a vehicle. An area search turned up neither the vehicle nor the men.
