Bella D is the Purrfect Tabby
Bella D is Seeking a Warm Lap
Bella D is the Perfect Tabby
Bella D is my name and affection is my game. At three years old, I am just getting started. I am a girl who knows what she wants, and what I want is to sit on your lap while you pet me. If you ignore me, I will let you know with my very loud meow. I don’t talk a lot. But when I do, I make myself understood.
I may sound pushy, but I am actually a very mellow feline. Nothing bothers me and I love everyone and everything. Ok, I did not appreciate being in a cage during adoption hours, but then I did not mind the hyperactive dog that came over to see me. I even thought he might be fun! As for not liking the cage, well, you can fix that by coming to adopt me so I don’t have to go there again. I think that should be your plan.
Besides loving my people, I also love my toys. Cat toys and catnip mice are not safe around me. The last catnip mouse I played with lost its tail in the first day. I guess I might be a good mouser, in case you need one. If not, just get me plenty of toys and we can have fun together. One word of caution: you need to watch me carefully with toys that have strings. I just cannot resist strings. They seem more interesting to me than what is attached to them. But I am sure you and I can find some fun, safe toys for me. Maybe a laser light or a ping pong ball?
Another thing you might like to know about me is that I just love lounging on top of people. So, I am looking for someone who is willing to take on the job of being my human bed—at least some of the time. If you lie down on the floor, I will get right up on your chest with my front paws toward your chin and I will wait for you to pet me. Besides meowing in gratitude, I will head-butt your face or hand to get you to stroke me. I will stand on you, sit on you, or cuddle into your shoulder and neck. And I will even perform a full grooming routine while on your chest. That is, grooming me, not you! And, all the while purring up a storm. So you can see I am clean, I am cuddly, and I think you are my soft bedding. What could be better?
While I do love humans, I am wary around cats I do not know. However, I believe I can get along with just about anyone, with the proper introductions. So, I will probably get along just fine with your current cat, if you already have one. In general, you will find I am open to life’s experiences, even if I am sometimes cautious before diving in.
Did I mention I am beautiful? I know you are someone who looks beyond superficial things like that, but wouldn’t you like to adopt the perfect tabby, if you have a choice? I am young, playful, affectionate, and a girl who knows herself. And one thing I do know is that I want you to take me home so we can cuddle and warm each other during this unseasonably chilly New England spring. Come see me in person and I guarantee you will fall in love.
