Arrests Made For OUI, Drugs

Information provided by the Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, January 11th and Sunday, January 13th.

On Friday, January 11th at 11:41 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious minivan on Putnam Ave. An officer found two men working on a house.
At 12 p.m., police executed a search warrant on Main Street and arrested Alexander Bucchio III, 46, 398 Main Street, Wakefield, for possession of a class A drug and possession of a class D drug with intent to distribute. Wakefield Police reported in a followup email that after a monthlong investigation by Detectives Chris Grace and Jack Ryan, police allegedly confiscated three small baggies of heroin and two larger bags believed to be marijuana, with an estimated value of $800.

At 12:07 p.m. on Friday, the K9 unit was called for a vehicle search on Union Street.
At 12:49 p.m. a two-car accident was reported on Salem Street.
At 1:14 p.m. police attempted to locate a hit and run suspect on Acorn Ave.
At 2:29 p.m. police responded to a parking complaint between neighbors on Woodbury Road.
At 2:50 p.m. police dispersed a group of youths causing a disturbance near Church Street.
At 3:39 p.m. some youths were reported on the ice near Church Street.
At 4:02 p.m. an accident was reported in the 128 Rotary.
At 4:42 p.m. police took a report involving unwanted phone calls.
At 5:59 p.m. police informed the DPW of a water break on Melvin Street.
At 6:13 p.m. police arrested Scott A. Gale, 39, 278 Newbury Street, Peabody, for OUI Liquor 2nd offense, resisting arrest,  operating at a speed greater than reasonable and proper, possessing an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, and one warrant.
At 7:10 p.m. police arrested Peter Varone, 55, 59 Waite Street, Malden, on a warrant.
At 10:25 p.m. an accident was reported on Church Street.

On Saturday, January 12th at 1:22 a.m. a woman reported her son had not returned home. Police put out a BOLO alert to surrounding towns.
At 2:24 a.m. a woman on Crescent Street reported her boyfriend’s friend was causing a disturbance in front of the house. An officer sent him along and advised him not to return.
At 4:44 p.m. a caller reported that a vehicle had just struck a guardrail on 128 and then headed into the Sheraton parking lot. The individual was taken into custody by State Police.
At 8:01 p.m. a caller reported an argument in the street on Avon Street. All was clear when police arrived.
At  8:25 p.m. police responded to a neighbor dispute on North Ave.
At 8:39 p.m. police responded to an accident on Grove Street.

On Sunday, January 13th at 1:33 a.m., police arrested Derik S. Campos, 19, 795 Concord Street, Framingham, for operating a vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense, and for a warrant.
At 3:23 a.m., a caller reported that a vehicle had just struck a building on Main Street and driven off. police arrested Spencer R. Meehan, 20, for OUI Liquor, leaving the scene of property damage, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
At 11:14 a.m. police investigated a reported hit and run near Greenwood Street.
At 12:10 p.m. police took a call from a woman on Green Street who thought that her neighbor might have thrown snow from the house gutters into her driveway. Police found that the snow was put there by plows.
At 5:11 p.m. police arrested Brian Silck, 40, 51 Kent Street, Quincy, for OUI drugs.
