A Stolen Meal And A Urinating Motorist

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Tuesday, January 15th, 2013.
At 7:43 a.m., police were informed of a man sleeping in the pines area on Broadway. He was sent on his way.
At 8:34 a.m. a caller reported that his vehicle had been struck by a green Jeep Cherokee. The Jeep reportedly fled toward Saugus and police in that town were notified. Wakefield Police later issued a summons to a 17 year old Wakefield resident for leaving the scene of property damage.
At 11:25 a.m. a caller reported their vehicle was struck in a parking lot on Hemlock Road. A review of security camera footage found that the vehicle had not actually been struck there.
At 1:09 p.m. the K9 unit was sent for a vehicle search near Richardson Street. The search turned up residual marijuana and some baggies with residue.
At 2:16 p.m. police took a report of a lost or stolen cell phone.
At 4:37 p.m. a Hart Street resident reported that her neighbor was harassing her by hanging on her door to tell her to be quiet whenever she is loud. Police determined that no actual harassment was taking place.
At 6:44 p.m. a woman out walking her dog reported that she had spotted a man urinating by the side of the road near New Salem Street and Preston Street. The vehicle minivan came up as registered to a woman in Sudbury. The driver was not located.
At 6:54 p.m. a man came in to report that somebody was taking pictures of his home but then left before speaking to an officer.
At 7:38 p.m. a man reported that his vehicle was struck while parked behind Brother’s Restaurant but that the other motorist had left a note on his windshield. An officer located the other party and a paper exchange was completed.
At 8:12 p.m. a woman on North Ave. reported that a Volvo parked nearby had been running all day. The owner arrived on the scene around that time and reported that she had accidentally left the vehicle running.
At 9:27 p.m. police were informed that a customer at Porto Bello Restaurant had just fled without paying his bill. The individual reportedly fled in a red Cadillac South on Main Street and the license plate was apparently taken down. The matter was under investigation as of early Wednesday morning.
