A Burglary, a Counterfeit $20 and a Stolen Wallet

Information provided by the Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Tuesday, March 5th, 2013.
At 8:12 a.m. police took a call about a Blue Fusion the parks each day in a crosswalk near North Ave. and Chestnut Street to wait for the train.  The vehicle was not spotted.
At 10:42 a.m. an officer stopped a motorist for having a revoked registration.
At 11:27 a.m. a Century 21 employee on Albion Street reported that a woman had just come in and started yelling at them. She checked out OK and was sent on her way.
At 12:22 p.m. a caller reported a pit bull running loose around Gould Street. No such animal was spotted.
At 12:41 p.m. a minor accident was reported on Crystal Street.
At 2:47 p.m. a woman reported that her son was missing. He was located soon after.
At 5:41 p.m. a woman walked in to report that her tire had possibly been vandalized on Main Street. Further investigation found no vandalism had occurred.
At 5:57 p.m. a woman reported that her wallet had been stolen while she was at the Crystal Street Laundromat.
At 6:17 p.m. a Salem Street business reported that a customer had tried to pay with a counterfeit $20 bill. The man reportedly left the store without providing his name.
At 6:31 p.m. a man on Melrose Terrace reported items had just been stolen from his home in a break-in.
At 6:40 p.m. an accident was reported near Water Street and Main Street.
At 10:20 p.m. police took a report of a past hit and run on North Ave.
