The Paver Subcommittee of the World War II Memorial Committee has announced the dates they will be at the William J. Lee Memorial Town Hall to meet with individuals and families who wish to make a contribution of $500.00 or $300.00 to place a paver in the Veterans’ Walk of Remembrance, or to learn more about the program. The Walk of Remembrance is part of the new World War II memorial that was dedicated on Veterans’ Day, 2011.
The subcommittee members will be at the Town Hall on the following dates:
Monday, June 25th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon (2nd floor conference room)
Wednesday, June 27th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (2nd floor conference room)
Monday, July 16th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon (2nd floor conference room)
Wednesday, July 18th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (1st floor conference/Selectmen room)
Monday, August 20th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon (2nd floor conference room)
Wednesday, August 22nd from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (1st floor conference/Selectmen room)
Individuals who have contributed a paver, have the packet, and still may need help completing their inscription are encouraged to stop in during the scheduled hours. An appointment is not necessary.
The paver can be contributed in honor of, or in memory of, any veteran who has served or is currently serving in the Armed Forces of the United States. The individual does not have to be a resident of Wakefield.
