Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

What a month we had!

Thanks to the leadership of Town Administrator Steve Maio, the first “Wakefield in Motion”
month was celebrated in October.  There
were over 50 Eat Better, Move More events open to the community listed on the Melrose/Wakefield Mass in Motion website, encouraging residents to find something they love and stick with it.  One small change makes a big difference on the path to better health!

Without our dedicated community partners,
none of this would have been possible.  A
huge thank you to the following:  Zuzu’s
Catering, Farmland, Wakefield Public Library, Wakefield Chamber of Commerce, Melrose Boot Camp, Friends of Moulton Park, Mystics Runners Club, Wakefield Farmers
Market, Wakefield Public Schools, Board of Selectmen, Town Planner, Health Department, Department of Public Works.

Sincerely,

Kara Showers, MPH, CHES, Mass in Motion grant coordinator for City of Melrose and Town of Wakefield Health Department

Mass in Motion, an initiative of the Mass
