Wakefield Native To Appear on "The Voice" on Feb. 13

  • February 13, 2012

Wakefield’s own James Massone will be appearing on The Voice on Monday, February 13, as the quest continues for the next best new singer in America.

The Voice returns for a second season on NBC with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in this blockbuster vocal competition.

James, a graduate of Wakefield Memorial High School Class of 2006, is long remembered as a song and dance man who enthralled his class with his impromptu sessions of entertainment  culminating in his “bring down the house” performance in the 2006 edition of the Senior Show.

His passion for music will be displayed for the entire country as he competes against other singers in the battle round with the ultimate goal of having the television audience decide that he is the one to perform in the final round to win a recording contract with a major label.

In a recent interview, James gave credit to his family for his love singing and performing. His brother and sister could often be found with James performing in the “studio” they built in the basement of their home. With the blessings of his father and mother, James created a space where he could take his vocalization skills to the next level.

All of Wakefield is invited to share in this remarkable journey as James Massone takes his talent to the national stage.
