Rotary Clubs of North Reading
and Reading bring back the Taste of Metro North to RMHS Field House February 27
Reading, MA, January 18, 2013– The Rotary
Clubs of North Reading and Reading have joined forces for the second year to bring the Taste of Metro North to the
Reading Memorial High School Field House (62 Oakdale Road) on Wednesday, February 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This event’s premiere sponsor is Reading Cooperative Bank. Gold sponsors for the event are The Savings Bank, Linnane Insurance, Reading Public School Food
Services, Stoneham Theatre, Sanborn Place Home Care and Day Services and Winter Hill Bank.
“The event will feature the area’s best dining establish-ments in North Reading and Reading, as well as those from Andover, Burlington, Stoneham, Wakefield, Winchester and Woburn who will present samplings from their menus,” said Committee Co-Chair and past Reading Rotary
Club Gregg Johnson.
“This event promises to be an informal, fun way to delight hundreds of people with menu samplings from various area restaurants who will showcase their house specialties,” added Co-Chair and North Reading Rotary Public Relations Chair Priscilla Gottwald.
Everything from ice cream shops, to caterers, to coffee shops, to casual, to fancy restaurants will be represented
at the event. Some restaurants that will make a presence are L’Andana Grill and Summer-Winter in Burlington, Dockside Restaurant in Wakefield, Dylan’s Bar
& Grille and Sandrino’s Catering in North Andover, Dairy Dome in Stoneham, Lucia’s Ristorante in Winchester, Pizza Mia/Uptown Deli in Wilmington, Horseshoe Grille, Hillview Country Club, Kitty’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Great American Tavern, Heav’nly Donuts, Ryer’s Store, Saldoni’s Catering in North Reading, Anthony’s Roast Beef, Bertucci’s, Christopher's Restaurant, Fuddrucker’s, Grumpy Doyle’s, Harrows, Haven Seafood, The Olde Redding Butcher Shoppe, Oye’s, Reading Public Schools and Sanborn Place & Home Care in Reading.
Tickets for the Taste of Metro North are $30 ($35
at the door) or $50 for a family ($55 at the door). They can be purchased on the Taste’s website www.tasteofmetronorth or from committee members and at the following locations: Reading Municipal Light
Department, Reading Cooperative Bank in Reading and North Reading, The Savings Bank in North Reading, Wakefield and Andover and at the Superintendent’s office
at Reading Memorial High School.
