The Wakefield Rotary Club is supporting a collection of items to be delivered to the New York and New Jersey area to support relief efforts. Wakefield Rotarian Jennifer Black will be traveling with her local church group to New York in just over a week to deliver collected items to local social workers.
Items needed include:
- all winter clothing including coats, mittens, etc. for all ages (gently used and clean items accepted). Please only send winter items for immediate use
- new diapers
- new underwear
- boots (gently used and clean items accepted)
- bedding items including sheets and pillows (gently used and clean items accepted)
Wakefield Rotary Club President Amy Luckiewicz noted, "This new upcoming storm is only going to add to the misery in the New York and New Jersey area. We're happy to support these immediate efforts to give them some relief. We know Jennifer (Black) personally and we know the items will get to where they're needed."
All donations may be dropped off at Holiday Travel located at 402 Main Street in Wakefield, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. Please call 781.245.5131 if you have any other questions regarding drop-off times or email wakefieldrotaryclub@yahoo.com with questions.
