(Wakefield, MA) – Marla Snyder, CRCM, of Haverhill was recently promoted to Vice President – Compliance Officer at The Savings Bank Marla was formerly Assistant Vice President – Compliance for the Bank.

            Marla joined The Savings Bank in January 2007. She was previously associated with Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union in North Andover as Assistant Vice President – Compliance, and has been in the financial services industry for more than 34 years.

            A graduate of Tufts University, Marla received her MBA from Northeastern University. She received her Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers of the American Bankers Association.

In addition to her responsibilities as Compliance Officer for The Savings Bank, Marla is actively involved as the Bank’s representative in the Bank Reporting Project, Preventing Financial Exploitation of Elders, a partnership between Mass Bankers, the Executive Office of Elder Affairs, the Division of Banks, and the Attorney General’s Office.

            Marla and her husband Fred reside in Haverhill and are the parents of four children.
