The deadline for submitting applications for need-based scholarships from the Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield (CSF) for the 2011 – 2012 academic year is fast approaching.  Any person who is a resident of Wakefield and who will be a full time college student is eligible to apply.  Scholarships are also available for full time graduate level students.  Current recipients of scholarship awards must reapply in order to be considered again.  Application forms can be downloaded from www.csfofwakefield.org.  The applications are also available at the WHS Guidance Office, the Guidance Offices of local private schools, at the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library, and in the Lobby of the Americal Civic Center.

Completed applications are due at the CSF of Wakefield Office on March 31, 2011.  The financial page of the application, which applicants mail to Minnesota for processing, must also be postmarked by March 31, 2011.  Financial need is determined independently by Scholarship America, Inc., St. Peter, Minnesota.

All residents are encouraged to submit an application by the deadline.  CSF cannot guarantee that late applicants who are financially eligible will be accommodated.          

Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield, a Dollars for Scholars Chapter, was founded in 1960.  Its purpose is to provide financial assistance to residents of Wakefield in their full time pursuit of higher education.
